Wine Glass - Comparison Guide
To help make your Wine Glass selection easier, we’ve included this Comparison Guide where you’ll find all our glasses sorted by Brand, Wine Type, Quality and Price.
We’ve selected Riedel and Spiegelau as two of the best brands in the business for their quality and attractive prices....
Riedel is perhaps the most recognized name in the wine glass business.
The Sommelier series is Top of the Line and extremely well recognized as the Gold standard! A very serious glass for serious wine lovers. Each glass is hand blown and made of 24% lead crystal.
The Vinum series, while not as expensive as the Sommelier series includes different shapes for each type of wine (something you’ll find in fine wine glasses) and are machine blown with 24% lead crystal. You can tell their quality as soon as you pick one up.
Riedel has recently created a whole new category of wine glass by introducing the O Series of Wine Tumblers. The O Series includes all the same shapes as the Vinum series, but without the glass stem... These tumblers feel great in your hand and are very easy to maintain. They’ve become very popular in a very short period of time.
Spiegelau has long been considered a major competitor to Riedel but at a lower price point. The Vino Grande series also includes different shapes for different wines but with fewer options than Riedel. Each glass is made with 5% lead crystal and represents a good quality alternative to Riedel at a lower price.
Note: W = White Wine, R = Red Wine
